Terms of Service

Last updated: 5 November 2026

These terms apply when you use the BarberGo website and app and book a haircut with us. By creating an account or making a booking, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.

1. Our service

BarberGo is a mobile barbershop. A barber travels to your address in a BarberGo van and provides a haircut inside the van. We currently operate in Oamaru, New Zealand, between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM, seven days a week.

2. Your account

3. Booking

4. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars, including GST where applicable, before you pay. You pay online when you book, by credit card, debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Payments are handled by our payment provider, and we do not store your full card details.

5. Where we park

The van needs a safe, legal place to park at or very near your address. Please make sure there is room for it, and that we can reach the address. If we cannot park safely or legally, we may need to cancel or move the appointment.

6. Cancelling and rescheduling

7. If you are late or not there

Your slot is reserved for you. If you are not at the address or cannot be reached by phone within 10 minutes of the barber arriving, we may treat the booking as a no-show and the fee may not be refunded. If you are running late, contact us as soon as you can. We will try to adjust, but a later start may shorten your haircut.

8. If we are running late

Traffic, weather and earlier appointments can affect timing. We will keep you updated by text. If we are significantly late, you may cancel for a full refund.

9. Your haircut

10. Behaviour and safety

Our barbers are entitled to a safe workplace. We may end an appointment immediately, without refund, if anyone behaves in a threatening, abusive or unsafe way, or if the address or surroundings are unsafe. Please keep pets secured and away from the van.

11. Photos

You can add a profile photo. We will not use your photo or your haircut images for marketing without your clear permission.

12. Your rights under New Zealand law

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986. Our services will be provided with reasonable care and skill.

13. Our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability for any booking is limited to the amount you paid for it, except where the law does not allow that limit.

14. Suspending accounts

We may suspend or close an account if these terms are broken, for example repeated no-shows, false details, payment fraud or unsafe behaviour. You can ask us to close your account at any time.

15. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Changes do not affect bookings you have already made. Continuing to use BarberGo after a change means you accept the new terms.

16. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by New Zealand law. If we cannot resolve a dispute, the New Zealand courts have jurisdiction. Questions? Email hello@barbergo.co.nz.
